Rental Terms and Conditions

General Terms

Supplier reserves the right to refuse or cancel booking at any time if you do not meet renting requirements. Please ensure sufficient funds are available on your debit or credit card. A valid driving license and passport must be held by all drivers. If your license was issued outside the country of collection, bring your passport when collecting the vehicle. All additional drivers must meet the same license requirements as the main driver. The first driver is included in the rates; a daily charge applies for each additional driver. The vehicle is covered by roadside assistance for mechanical faults. Negligence (lost keys, running out of fuel) may incur a breakdown call out fee. NO SHOW: Failure to collect the vehicle before the reserved pickup time may incur at minimum a no-show fee. Vehicles must be returned at or before the expiry of the rental term in the same condition as rented (normal wear and tear excepted). You may be required to pay local tolls or highway fees. Smoking is prohibited in the vehicle.

Security Bond

Supplier requires a security bond at collection, deducted from your credit/debit card. Cash deposits are not accepted.

Restricted Roads / Areas of Use

Driving on dirt roads, off-road terrain, sand, or through water is strictly prohibited. All vehicles have GPS trackers. No insurance covers damage from off-road driving. A penalty of €300 applies regardless of damage.

Optional Items / Extras

Special equipment and optional extras may be requested at booking. Availability is subject to change without notice.

Traffic Infringements

Renter is responsible for all traffic fines (speeding, parking, toll evasion). Supplier will charge a fee for administration of fines.

Driver Age & Category Requirements

MINI, ECONOMY: Minimum age 21, license held ≥1 year. COMPACT, INTERMEDIATE: Minimum age 23, license held ≥2 years. LUXURY, MINI VANS, SUVs: Minimum age 23, license held ≥3 years. Young driver surcharge: EUR 14/day (<25 yrs), max EUR 140. Senior driver surcharge: EUR 14/day (≥72 yrs), max EUR 140.

Mileage Policy*

Unlimited mileage included. Drive365 enforces a fair usage policy; penalties may apply for excessive/abusive use.

Fuel Policy

Like-for-Like Policy: Return vehicle with same fuel level supplied. Missing fuel incurs replacement plus EUR 25 refuelling fee.

One Way Rentals

Permitted at most locations. A service fee applies.

Driver License Rules

Drivers must carry a valid full license. Non-Latin alphabets require an International Driving Permit or official translation. License must be valid for the entire rental period and held ≥1 year. Additional proof of identity and address may be required. Contact office immediately if delayed; after 1 hour past scheduled pickup, booking is canceled. No refunds for early return, shortened rental, or vehicle downgrade.

Service Outside Normal Business Hours

Out-of-hours service available on request. Fees apply for pickup, drop-off, or both.

Compensation Policy

For unaccommodated bookings due to local office liability, compensation may not exceed the total booking price shown on the voucher.

FULL TERMS

Additional Driver

Additional drivers must meet renter requirements and can be added at any rental branch. Daily surcharge EUR 5, max total EUR 50; max 2 additional drivers allowed.

After Hours Service

Pickup/drop-off outside office hours: EUR 40 including airport fee. Payable at counter or by agent.

Late Return

After 60 minutes late, full-day rate + EUR 25 late fee applies.

Cross Border Policy

Cross-border requires prior written permission from Drive365.
Green Card may also be required: €15 (Montenegro, North Macedonia) or €40 (all European countries).

For a cross border option within a rental, additional travel package purchase might be required.

Additional requirements: Cross-border fee €100+

Damage Waiver

Covers renter’s liability unless damage violates Road Circulation Code. Deductibles: 900 EUR – MINI/ECONOMY, 1200 EUR – COMPACT/INTERMEDIATE/CROSSOVER, 1400 EUR – SUV/MINI VAN (7 seats), 4000 EUR – PASSENGER VAN (9 seats)/PREMIUM/LUXURY.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

Excludes underside, interior, windshields, mirrors, keys, antenna, fuel, ferry transport, acts of God, terrorist attacks, wheels/tires. If not included, renter pays full damage cost. Accident statement required; police report mandatory. Void if damage caused by unauthorized drivers, DUI, racing, towing, off-road, hire, legal violations, or negligence.

Delivery and Collection

On request; bookings@Drive365.rent. Within 15 km free during office hours; >15 km: EUR 0.80/km including airport fee.

One Way Drop Policy

On request in specific locations. Unauthorized one-way drops incur a fee.

Inclusive Policy

TOTAL RENTAL CHARGES INCLUDE UNLIMITED MILEAGE, CDW, THEFT PROTECTION, SUPPLEMENTARY LIABILITY, AIRPORT FEE, VAT. Additional protection products optional; extra equipment/protection subject to airport fee and VAT.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)

Covers driver medical expenses up to EUR 350, death/permanent disablement up to EUR 15,000. Cost: EUR 2/day plus taxes.

Forms of Payment

Credit/debit card in renter’s name required. Accepted: Visa, MasterCard (credit/debit). Not accepted: AMEX, virtual, prepaid, Vpay, ApplePay, GooglePay, Revolut, Maestro.

Credit Card Hold

Deposit preauthorized equal to insurance waiver, refunded at rental end if no extra charges. Extra up to EUR 150 may be preauthorized for fuel; refunded if no loss. Deposit blocked on valid card in renter’s name; released by bank after return. Required deposits by car category: 900–4000 EUR depending on car group.

Roadside Protection

Free 24/7 roadside assistance. Off-road towing costs charged to driver.

Renter Requirements

Driver’s license issued ≥12 months prior. Acceptable countries: EU & others as per full list. International Driving Permit required for non-EU/non-Switzerland licenses; certified translation for non-Latin licenses. FDW optional; reduces CDW excess to zero if damage not due to traffic code violation. Admin fee EUR 40 + airport fee applies for damages or theft. Stained/dirty vehicles incur cleaning fee EUR 30–150; off-road immobilization towing charged. Police report mandatory for all damages.

Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP)

Included; covers up to EUR 1,200,000 per person for bodily injury/death and up to EUR 1,200,000 for property damage to third parties.

Theft Protection (TW)

Covers total theft with deductible by car group: 900–4000 EUR. Attempted theft, lost keys, personal items, acts of God/terrorist attacks not covered.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations up to 48 hours prior allowed. Late/no-show may incur fee unless COVID-19 related. Refunds equal to full price paid; EHI may audit transactions.

Booking & Amendments

Booking confirmed via email voucher; deposit becomes non-refundable. Amendments may be treated as new booking; EUR 25 alteration fee applies if applicable. Vehicle capacity & luggage must be respected; Drive365 may refuse rental if unfit or ineligible.
