Rental Terms and Conditions

General Terms

• Supplier may refuse or cancel bookings at any time if renting requirements are not met.
• Ensure sufficient funds are available on your debit or credit card.
• All drivers must have a valid driving license and passport. If issued outside the country of collection, the passport is required. Additional drivers must meet the same requirements; the first driver is included in the rate, extra drivers incur a daily charge.
• Vehicles are covered by roadside assistance for mechanical faults; driver negligence (lost keys, fuel) may incur a call-out fee.
• NO SHOW: Failure to collect the vehicle on time may incur a minimum no-show fee.
• Vehicles must be returned on time and in the same condition as rented, normal wear excepted.
• Local tolls or highway fees may apply depending on travel route.
• Smoking is prohibited in vehicles.

Security Bond

• A security bond is required at collection, deducted from your credit card. Cash is not accepted.

Restricted Roads / Areas of Use

• Driving on dirt roads, off-road, sand, or water is strictly prohibited. Vehicles are GPS-tracked. Off-road damage is not covered by insurance; a €300 penalty applies regardless of damage.

Optional Items / Extras

• Special equipment and optional extras may be requested at booking but are subject to availability and change.

Traffic Infringements

• Renter covers costs of fines (speeding, parking, tolls). An administrative fee applies.

Driver Age Requirements

• MINI/ECONOMY: minimum 21 years, license held ≥1 year.
• COMPACT/INTERMEDIATE: minimum 23 years, license held ≥2 years.
• LUXURY, MINI VANS, SUVs: minimum 23 years, license held ≥3 years.
• Young driver surcharge: €14/day (under 25, max €140). Senior surcharge: €14/day (72+, max €140).

Mileage Policy

• Unlimited mileage included. Excessive/abusive use may result in penalties.

Fuel Policy

• Like-for-Like: Return vehicle with the same fuel level. Missing fuel plus €25 refueling fee applies.

One-Way Rentals

• Permitted at most locations; a service fee applies.

Driver Licence Rules

• Valid full license required; non-Latin licenses require International Driving Permit or translation.
• License must be valid for the rental period and held ≥1 year.
• Additional proof of identity/address may be required.

Booking Delays

• Contact the office immediately if delayed. Booking cancels automatically after 1 hour. Late arrivals risk cancellation and inconvenience.
• No refund for early return, shortened rental, or downgrade of vehicle category.

Service Outside Normal Hours

• Out-of-hours pick-up/drop-off available on request; fees apply.

Compensation Policy

• Unaccommodated bookings may be compensated up to the total booking price on the voucher.

Additional Drivers

• Additional drivers must meet all renter requirements. Daily surcharge €5, max €50, maximum 2 extra drivers.

After Hours Service

• EUR 40 for after-hours pick-up/drop-off, including airport fee.

Late Return

• After 60 minutes late, full-day rate plus €25 late fee applies.

Cross Border Policy

• Cross-border travel requires written permission and local insurance. Fee €50 per crossing. Green Card required (€15 for Montenegro/North Macedonia, €40 for all Europe).

Damage Waiver & Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

• Covers renter liability except violations of Road Circulation Code. Deductibles vary by car group from €900–€2000.
• CDW excludes underside, interior, windshield, mirrors, key, antenna, incorrect fuel, ferry transport without permission, acts of God, terrorist attacks, wheels/tires.
• Accident Statement mandatory; third-party incidents require police notification. Admin fee €40 plus airport fee applies.
• FDW optional, reduces CDW excess to zero, same exclusions as CDW.

Delivery & Collection

• On-request service. Within 15 km free during office hours; €0.80/km beyond 15 km including airport fee.

One Way Drop Policy

• Available at specific locations, requires request at booking. Unauthorized drops incur fees.

Inclusive Policy

• Total rental charges include unlimited mileage, CDW, TP, SLP, airport fee, and VAT. Additional protection products extra.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)

• Covers medical expenses up to €350 and death/permanent disablement up to €15,000. Cost €2/day plus taxes.

Forms of Payment

• Payment must be via renter's own credit/debit card, valid ≥6 months after rental.
• Accepted: Visa, MasterCard. Not accepted: Amex, virtual/prepaid/non-bank cards.
• Card preauthorization covers deposit and possible fuel loss (€150 max). Refund up to 30 days.

Roadside Assistance

• Free, 24/7. Off-road immobilization incurs towing fees.

Renter Requirements

• License held ≥12 months; National or International license accepted per country list. English translation required for China.
• Full license and ID/passport required; EU/Switzerland licenses do not require IDP; others require IDP or certified translation.
• Full Damage Waiver (FDW) optional, reduces CDW excess to zero; same exclusions as CDW.

Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP)

• Covers third-party injury/property damage up to €1,200,000 each.

Theft Protection (TW)

• Covers vehicle theft with deductibles €900–€2000 by car group. Attempted theft, key loss, personal belongings, acts of God, terrorist attacks not covered. Police report required. Without TW, renter liable for full value.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Cancellations allowed up to 48h prior. Late cancellations treated as no-show; coronavirus exceptions fully refunded.
• Refunds equal full price paid; Drive365 may audit transactions.
• Payments cannot be reversed via card issuer without consent. Refunds may take up to 12 weeks.

Booking Terms

• Booking via Drive365 website or phone requires agreement to terms.
• Information on rates may contain errors; updates can be made at any time.
• Booking confirmed upon email voucher and deposit; check details immediately.
• Amendments treated as new booking; fees may apply.
• Do not exceed vehicle capacity. Drive365 may refuse rental if driver unfit or ineligible.

Vehicle Fitness & Responsibility

• Driver responsible for safe operation, legal passenger limits, and luggage capacity. Failure may void insurance.
